Who I am and why I’m here

I’m a Christian working mom who is married to a pastor who is a former Marine. I am a mother of six and grandmother of one. Once upon a time, my husband and I sold everything we had and served as missionaries overseas. But I’m so much more than that.

I am also a woman who has battled perfectionism for nearly half a century – so, basically, her entire life. I’m battle scarred and shell shocked. I’m tired, and I’m tired of being tired.

Jesus told his disciples to shake the dust from their feet when leaving an unwelcoming village. That’s what I’m doing with perfectionism. I’m leaving it behind and shaking the dust from my feet as I go. I invite you to pick up your walking sticks and join me in my journey.
